ABOUT THIS DUMB SITE

(affectionate)

The Wiener Circle on Clark Street has been Chicago's most infamous late-night hot dog stand since 1983. Vienna Beef char dogs. Cheddar fries. Fresh-cut fries. Chocolate shakes that built an internet legend. And — famously — a staff that will absolutely cook you verbally while they cook your dog.

This is an unofficial fan site that collects the best videos fans, celebrities, and passersby have made at the counter over the years. It's a love letter to Chicago, to 2 a.m. hunger, and to the kind of place that only makes sense if you grew up here.

THE GROUND RULES

  • 1. Charred. Always charred.
  • 2. No ketchup on the dog. Don't even joke.
  • 3. You are going to get roasted. Laugh.
  • 4. Tip Poochie.
  • 5. Order. Pay. Move.
